y=2x^2-3x , x=3t^2-2t , t=u^2-u what is the value of dy/du for u=2 ?

OpenStudy (dumbcow):

dy/du = dy/dx * dx/dt * dt/du Differentiate each function and put everything in terms of u

OpenStudy (anonymous):

its true.

OpenStudy (dumbcow):

you could also substitute u^2-u for t in x(t) and then sub in that for x in y(x) then differentiate but i thought that was messier

Thank you so much :)
