Evaluate the expression \[(4^3/2^5)^-1\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

1/2 :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the exponent -1 means that that value is actually 1/ (...), therefore when u do 4^3 / 2^5, u get 2, and u set two as the denominator, giving u 1/2 hope that helps

OpenStudy (anonymous):

by the -1, u mean it as an exponent right?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes

OpenStudy (anonymous):

k then yup, thats how you do it, ...do u understand it?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

kinda
