Hi, could you please tell me how to get the real rational zeros of the function; f (x) = x3 + x + 1 I'm having trouble with it; P/Q gave me +/- 1 but I couldn't go any further. Thank You.

MJMATH, this function has no rational roots.

The rational roots theorem gives you the possibilities for rational roots. If none of these check out, the polynomial does not have rational roots.

Thank You very much. I suspected that, and I'm now also a fan (ticked the icon). Best of Luck to you.
