6x+2y=8 y=-3x

OpenStudy (anonymous):

y=-3x+4

OpenStudy (anonymous):

y=-3x 2y=-6x sub into 1st equation 6x-6x=8 0=8 so no root

OpenStudy (anonymous):

can yu explain further

OpenStudy (anonymous):

which part?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

sure

OpenStudy (anonymous):

after i sub in first equation

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you have 2y=-6x sub in the first equation where 6x+2y=8 so 6x+(-6x)=8 6x-6x=8 0x=8 we know that 0x always = 0 whatever x is so 0x=8 is not logical then no root for this one

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what do you mean no root

OpenStudy (anonymous):

do you mean no solution

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yeah, solution. sorry, I got used to roots, real roots and stuff. never mind. yeap, no solution

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok i have one moreproblem i need help with

OpenStudy (anonymous):
