factor the gcf for 4x-80

OpenStudy (anonymous):

First you will have to find the factor that you have in common between the 2 numbers. In this case it is 4, so now we will divide both numbers by 4 and we end up with (4(x-20))

OpenStudy (anonymous):

how did you find that is 4

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok becaues this is a greatest common factor problem you already know the 2 numbers are going to be factors of each other. I first looked and noticed they are both even numbers, this means they will be divisable by 2 so now i attempted to divide -80/4=20.

ok

i tried it and i come out with 2 as gcf, what did i do wrong
