find the inverse of f(x)=√(x-2)+5. what is the domain of f^1

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Did you find the inverse?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i dont no how to

myininaya (myininaya):

solve for x

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The easiest way is to realize that \(f(f^{-1}(x)) = x\) So plugging in \(f^{-1}(x)\) to the function gives \(x= \sqrt{f^{-1}(x) -2} + 5\) Then solve for \(f^{-1}(x)\)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

how

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Move the 5 to the other side, and square both sides to get rid of the square root.
