4+3(-9-2)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

.......

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Do inside the the ( ) then multiply the 3 into what you get in the perinthisis then at the 4

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i dont have to do distributive property?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

cu that is what im confused with

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so 4+3(-11) 3*-11 4+-33 =-29

OpenStudy (anonymous):

sorry if that is sloppy i will learn how to use this equation writer at some point in time

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no i got it THANKYOU

OpenStudy (anonymous):

but i dont have to do distributive p right?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

that was more of an order of operation type problem, So just remember that Rule 1: First perform any calculations inside parentheses. Rule 2: Next perform all multiplications and divisions, working from left to right. Rule 3: Lastly, perform all additions and subtractions, working from left to right.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

wait what did you mean about the "P" was there a varible in the equation?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

noo i mean distributive property

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ok you are going to have to use that if inside the perinsthis is a (x-1) type deal then you would distribute the constant that lays on the outside of the quanity.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

srry to respond late BUT THANYOU
