Given two points P(1,-5) and Q(-4,3) find the following equation for these two points?

The equation for the line including both points would be \[y=-8/5x-17/5\]. You just have to find the slope, which is rise over run and then solve for b, in y=ax+b by substituting the now known slope and the variables of one of the coordinates.

thank you so much
