What term must be added to x^2+3x to complete the square? How do you find that term??

You take the number before x (in this case it's 3) and divide by two and then square it. so it's 1.5 squared.

we need to make it fit the pattern a^2 + 2ab + b^2.

I got the number pattern part, but the actual answer...ehhh it's vague to me. A little. It'a like I'm almost there but I'm not quite.
