what is the area of the right triangle with the left side being 15 in. and the right side being 12 in. and the bottom side 9 in.?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

54, i think?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The area of a triangle is basically \[A = (1/2)* B * H\] and by looking at the numbers I think 12 is the height so H= 12 B= 9 so you have \[A= (1/2)* 9 * 12\] \[A= 54\]

Thank you to the both of you:)

So, if I have to find the perimeter of the triangle, I add 15 in., 12 in. and 9 in.?

yep. (:
