could someone double check my answer for this quadratic equation!?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[3x ^{2}-1=x\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I got 1+ or - sqrt -11 over 6

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[1 + or - \sqrt{-11}\over 6\] little better to understand here

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thats right except it should be positive 13 under the radical

OpenStudy (anonymous):

positive 13 instead of the -11? or positive 13 where the 6 is?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

also, are there 2 non real, or real answers?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it should be: [1+/- sqrt(13)]/6

OpenStudy (anonymous):

they are both real answers

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok awesome. thanks!
