If two light bulbs in a display are connected in series and one goes out, the other will also go out. the probability that a light bulb will last a month is .95, what is the probability that the display will last a month?

The out come of the second event here is completely dependent on the first. So for all practical purposes the probability of the second event is 1 provided the first event has happened.so since the probability of the first light bulb lasting a month is .95, the probabilty that the display will last a month is also .95
