in basketball, a one-and-one free throw means that if you make the first one, you get to shoot again. suppose a player usually make 75% of his free throws. what is the probability that he will make both shots of a one-and-one free throw?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

since the probability of him making any shot is .75 (i.e 75/100), after he makes his first shot, only if it is successful he gets the second chance so the total probability of him making both shots is (75/100) * (75% of 75) = 42.1875
