it rises in y from -3 to 1: so 4, and in x it 4 wide from -1 : so 5. that means the slope of x is y/x 4/5. So a little slower in growth than a standard x and for y=0 it crosses at -3+4/5*1 since we only have to move up one from the point in minus one. So that would be -2.25 so y=4/5x-2.25 which would be the parametrized function going through those points
