solve b(b+17)=0

OpenStudy (anonymous):

When does multiplication ever equal zero? There is only one time, and thats when you are multiplying something by zero. I find it helpful to rewrite this equation like so b * (b+17) = 0 So they can equal zero when b equals zero, or when b+17 = 0, which is -17.

its (-17,0) then. i just checked and its that
