simplify the expression 5e^-2x/e4x times (e^-2x)^2/10e^-x

OpenStudy (anonymous):

this 5e^(-2x/e4x) or 5e^(-2x)/e^(4x)?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ya

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the second or the first?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

sorry i meant to type is this in my first post

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the first

i have to go but i would approach this problem by first simplifying the side (e^-2x)^2/10e^(-x) then multiply the other end. Also if you can i would use the Equations button provided by the web site to rewrite the problem to make it easier for the next person that comes on to help you. Best of luck :)
