OpenStudy (anonymous):

write as a quadratic : 9p^2 + 12p -12 = 0 factor out 3 3p^2 + 4p - 4 = 0 next look for a numbers that mutiply to give you 12 and add to give you + 4 and split the middle term 3p^2 +6p + -2p - 4 = 0 factor the two first and last terms terms 3p(p +2)-2(p +2)=0 factor out the gcf (3p -2)(p+2) = 0
