need help with steps to solve x and y of this problem

\[(2x+3i)-(6+2yi)=5-3i\]
I have the answers, x=11 over 2, and y=3..I just am not sure of the steps to get there.
my computer may be frozen.. unless you've been typing for like 10 m in?
Is there a second equation? I don't see how you can solve explicitly for x and y with just one equation .
That's the only one they gave me. and the answers were listed at the back of the book. hmm. idk
