what is the solution of the system of equations c + 3d= 8 and c= 4d -6?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

start off by setting both equations to =0

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok hold on

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok now what

OpenStudy (anonymous):

pick a varible that you would like to eliminate by making them opisit inverse of each other

OpenStudy (anonymous):

c

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yea thats the one i would do

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ahah okay now what do i do

OpenStudy (anonymous):

combine the 2 equations and solve for the varible

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i leave the C there though?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

didn't you say you were trying to cancell the "c" varible out?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yeah but at the ends theres a zero, am i correct? so where am i supposed to put the c then

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the c should be gone and you should only be working with the constant and the other varible

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oooooooooooooooooooooh okayy
