n^2/(3n^4+2)..is this series converging or diverging as n goes from 1 to infinity?? please help!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

converging. the denominator approaches infinity for large values of n. so for large values of n, the expression is approx. 0.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok. so if the degree of the variable in the denominator is greater, then its always converging to zero??

OpenStudy (anonymous):

in most cases, yes.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

basically, your equation becomes n^2/3n^4 for large values of n. or 1/3n^2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok thank you. can we prove this by using the limit comparision test?? or any other tests?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes you can.
