She has humble beginnings so she knows what it's like to live poverty. She also knows what's it like to be mistreated. She could run saying she fights "for the common" man.

Her fairy godmother changed her life drastically. You could argue that as president, she would do everything she could to make everyone's fairy godmother take a more active role in their lives.

If you write this well, I think you can make her the "right fit." And yes, you can use that joke. Compare our government to a glass slipper. ;)
