Do you have any idea how to solve it?
OpenStudy (anonymous):
I dont
OpenStudy (anonymous):
Im completely lost.
OpenStudy (anonymous):
You can do the following:
2* Sqrt[2]+2S*qrt(2)
OpenStudy (anonymous):
i might have an idea

sorry:
=4*sqrt(2)+2*sqrt(2)
=6*sqrt(2)
OpenStudy (anonymous):
That is the answer
OpenStudy (anonymous):
\[\sqrt{2^{5^{}}}-\sqrt{2^{3}}= 2^{5/2}-2^{3/2}\]
OpenStudy (anonymous):
right?
OpenStudy (anonymous):
...and that = \[2\sqrt{2^{3}}-\sqrt{2^{3}}\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):
The answer is 2^(3/2)
OpenStudy (anonymous):
...
and continue
OpenStudy (anonymous):
continue what?
OpenStudy (anonymous):
that equals \[\sqrt{2^{3}}\]

which equals
...
OpenStudy (anonymous):
=4*sqrt(2)+2*sqrt(2) =6*sqrt(2)
if sqrt(2)=2^(1/2), we have that:
6*sqrt(2)=6^(1/1)*(2^(1/2))
=(6*2)^(1+1/2)
=12^3/2
OpenStudy (anonymous):
THat is what i got
OpenStudy (anonymous):
how the hell did u get that from the equation we stared with....just asking lol
OpenStudy (anonymous):
\[\sqrt{2^{3}}=2\sqrt{2}\] or \[\sqrt{8}=2\sqrt{2}\] right?

sqrt(any_number)<=>(any_number)^(1/2)
OpenStudy (anonymous):
yes
OpenStudy (anonymous):
\[x ^{1/2}=\sqrt{x}\]
OpenStudy (anonymous):
sqrt(8)=sqrt(2*4)
if 4=2^2 then you can get sqrt(4)=2
so sqrt(8)=2*sqrt(2)
You are right Terra B
Can you teache me how to write down the sqrt symbol please
OpenStudy (anonymous):
press the equation button below the place you type here. it's to the bottom left
