in exam i used mu logic like this ........16 lies between 9 and 21 and therefore the ? must be between 4 and 9.......i guess

well, first you have 21=9 and 22=9. That should tell you to not think so much about the actual values of the numbers.

and answer is 7..................and the explanation is....like this....9(nine)=4 letter...21(twentyone)=9 letters,,etc,,,,,,and this 16(sixteen)=7
