OpenStudy (me123):

The function H is described by H(x)=2.75+71.48 can be used to predict the height in centimeters, of a woman whose humerus is x cm long. Predict the height of a woman whose humerus is 37cm long

OpenStudy (amistre64):

youre missing an 'x'

OpenStudy (amistre64):

h(x) = a horizontal line at the moment; you forgot to put in the 'x' variable; where does it go?

OpenStudy (me123):

2.75x

OpenStudy (amistre64):

thougth so, but you can never be to careful :)

OpenStudy (amistre64):

then its just a matter of plugging in 37 for x and solving.

OpenStudy (amistre64):

2.75(37) + 71.48 = 173.23

OpenStudy (me123):

so you just put the the x amount in multiply it by 2.75 and add the 71.48. I have been out of school a long time and am trying to be sure I understand the concept.

OpenStudy (amistre64):

thats correct

OpenStudy (me123):

Thank you

OpenStudy (amistre64):

youre welcome
