This is the same sort of problem as before. There isn't any difference in solving them. Multiply by the reciprocal. (40/21)21/40m=6/12(40/21) m=20/21

If it's reducing that's tripping you up make a factor tree and cross out the factors that appear in both the numerator and denominator. a factor tree of the number 50 would look something like... draw 50 and then 2 lines before it and write in two numbers by those two lines that you know multiply to 50, say 10 and 5. 5 cant be split up but ten can so two more lines and draw a 5 and a 2 next to them. If you do that with the numbers you come across it you will have a much easier time picking out what will reduce and what won't.
