In first eq just punch in 8 for x.

So what are you working on? Did your teacher say it was wrong? It is in a book? The question is worded oddly 'show how we find...'

she's implying f(x)=8...so I need to solve for x. I've looked in the textbook and solved the problem by the examples but she still tells me it's wrong. I don't know what can be plugged in for x to make the equation work...
