The clock strikes the bell at an interval of 2 secs.If it takes 2 secs to strike twice at 2'o clock, then how many seconds will it take to strike three times at 3'o clock? a)2 seconds b)1 min c)4 sec d)7 sec
hmmm, are we supposed to think that the bell must strike the first time the instant it becomes x-o'clock? In that case it would strike once the instant it's 3'o clock, once two seconds later, and a third time two seconds after that. For a total of 4 seconds.
The only way it can take only two seconds at 2'oclock is for the bell to be stricken the instant it turns 2, and then once the two second interval later.
yea i got it........
but i guess like this.......it takes 2 sec to strike 2wice at 2 0clock and thus for 3rice we need to have a 1 more strike which is only possible after 2 sec so for 3'oclock total sec =2sec+2sec=4sec.
thanks guys for help....
I think that works too =) np!
