Solve the inequality (x+1)(x-3)(x+9)^2 > 0

OpenStudy (anonymous):

from the last part of the equation x^2 + 18x + 81 > 0 x(x + 18) > -81 x > 0 x > -99 from the first two parts of the equation x > -1 x > 3 so the answer is just x > 3 which makes sense, because if x = 3, then the whole thing will be 0, so it has to be bigger than 3
