anyone want to help me with slope intercept equation?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes, what is your problem?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

sure, why not?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay well i'm supposed to write the equation of slope intercept form. : through (-3,-2) perp. to y=3x

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes. I already explained this to you. Lets start over. What is the slope of y

OpenStudy (anonymous):

sorry, that is slope of y = 3x?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

3/1 ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

3/1? what do you mean by that?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

y = mx+b m is the slope, b is the y intercept correct? y = 3x. here m = 3 and b = 0. so the slope of this line is 3.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

now, slope of a line perpendicular to the line y = mx+b is (-1/m)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so what is the slope of the line you are required to find out?
