How do u find cos?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Like if cos=x/24

OpenStudy (anonymous):

cos = adjecent over hypotnose

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Cos of what?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

a right triangle

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I need 2 find the value of x

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so its cos(theta) = x/24

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The degreee is 30

OpenStudy (anonymous):

...idk I'm confused...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what is the angle? is it a 30.60 traingle or 45 ? what is theta?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

sorry theta= 30 cos(theta)= x/24 cos(30) = x/24 24* cos(30) = x

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so use your calc or your memeroy to know that cos 30 = sqrt(3)/2 set sqrt(3)/2 = x/24 and solve for x

OpenStudy (anonymous):

12?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

x=12

OpenStudy (anonymous):

x should be 20.7846, or 12*sqrt(3)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ohhh...hahaha....yeeeaaaahhhh.....
