help finding center, lengthof major axis, equation of the major axis, and coordinates of the extrema points at the end of the axes for each ellipse

OpenStudy (regan):

is the elipse given parametrically or implicitly?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[{x}^2/81+{y}^2/16=1\]

OpenStudy (regan):

ok the elipse general formula is \[x^{2}/a ^{2}+y^{2}/b^{2}=1\] where a and b are the length of each axis. the rest can be derive intuitivly from geometry and algebra

I am trying to help my daughter with this problem and others that are similar and do not have a goog grasp on what is being asked.
