can sumone rlly try to figure this out please: cost of a long distance telephone call is determined by a flat fee for the first 3 minutres. a customer pays 2.75 for a 8min call and 5$ for 23 minute call. how much more will it cost the customer for a 45 min call than for a 30 min call

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Each is a proportion, so set each proportion equal to each other and make an equation in terms of time, ie, cost per minute. Then plug in for 45 and 30 and find the difference.

(x must include the first value, ie you must substitute in x as it is a flat rate for the first 3 minutes)
