How do I find the value of f(x)=1/2x^2+2x+4 I already found the vertex and the x & intercepts
What do you mean by the "value"?
Values you would get from a graph. I can graph it, find the vertex, find the x-and y-intercepts, but I am also required to find the values (for instance, XMIN, XMAX, XSCL, YMIN)...I know the values of this one too; for it' an example....I need to know how these are found since the graph always says...-10, 10, all around)
The vertex is (-2, 2)..x-int=0,2 and y-int=0
I guess they can call it the range too
oh, the range? all real numbers as there are no fractions
Okay, no, it's not the range..man it's confusing explaining it.. Okay, if you take a calculator, enter the equation I wrote above, and graph it, the calculator is supposed to give you some values from top to bottom and left to right...i don't really know..but I have to do it as part of my problems
The settings you are talking about, xmin, xmax, etc etc, are just merely zooming windows of your graphing calculator. They aren't really relevant to the specific equation in particular.
Well, I have to graph them. The problems I have are literally asking for them which is weird. It states, find the vertex and all intercepts. sketch graph. then, determine appropriate WINDOW values, and check your answer using graphing calculator.
