jeff is playing cards with a friend. his opponent just dealt him an almost perfect hand all he needs to win is a five. they each have 10 cards. if his opponent doesnt have a five, and jeff has 1 fives, what is the probability that the card jeff draws is a five?

OpenStudy (nowhereman):

That depends highly on which kind of cards they are playing with!

lol poker cards?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so there at 52 cards in a deck his friend has 10 and no fives so 42 cards left. jeff also has 10 cards, so thats 32 cards left there are 4 fives in a deck jeff has one so three fives left so number of fives over number of cards 3/32
