you push a ball up an inclination angle and it rolls back down. what shape is the position vs. time graph? what shape is the velocity vs. time graph? what shape is the acceleration vs. time graph?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

upside down parabola; line constant line

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thank you! are you sure? by line you mean linear? which it like "/" or "\" and the constant line for acceleration is "--"

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i hope im right... acceleration is constant=g*constant velocity is / line, so position is parabola

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok thanks! i hope. cuz i have to draw the graph and dont wanna lok stupid. =)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

:) (if i understand your question well, than im sure of it :) )

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yea it this lab im doing involving pushing a little cart up a track and let it roll back down. measure time position and velocity and acceleration

OpenStudy (anonymous):

(position will be normal parabola if you are considering horizontal position, or just distance traveled (upsidedown parabola only if you take height as position))
