A decimal number with two digits is between 4.4 and 4.8. It is less than 4.79 and greater than 4.44. The digit in the tenth place is even. What is the number?

If you mean second place instead of tenth it would be 4.6 and you can find it by exclusion procedure as there only very few two digit numbers between 4.4 and 4.8.
