myininaya (myininaya):

omg i been taught that 0^0 is undefined but maple says 0^0=1?

myininaya (myininaya):

my ti83 says undefined

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It is actually indeterminate

myininaya (myininaya):

i was looking at evaluating sigma(2,i=-1..27) and i have always wrote it as sigma(2i^0,i-1..27)=2(-1)^0+2(0)^0+2(27) but we have that 0^0 there if we count it as 1 we would have found the right summation

OpenStudy (cherrilyn):

usually a number to the power of 0 is always one. but not 0. 0^0 is classified as an indeterminate form

myininaya (myininaya):

i know but how do you write sigma(2,i=-1..27) in expand form give me the first few terms

myininaya (myininaya):

i know there is a rule, but i want to the rule to make sense to me
