simplify is possible 3 8 ----- + ------------- k+7 k squared -49

OpenStudy (radar):

The common denominator is (k^2-49) 3(k-7)/(k^2-49) + 8(k^2-49) 3k-21/(k^2-49) +8/(k^2-49) Adding 3k-21+8 /(k^2-49) =(3k-13)/(k^2-49) You could factor the denominator further to (k+7)(k-7) but it is debatable whether that really makes it any simpler: (3k-13)/(k+7)(k-7) Did you follow with understanding? Did you work it out already. It isn't really hard, just do neat work and keep on track!
