I know it isn't math.. but there is no-one in the English room please help? :P What is the effect of fear and pity created in the audience when it watches the downfall of a tragic protagonist? A. Catharsis B. Hamartia C. Hubris D. Peripateia

protags are the good guys; hubris is pride; catharsis is a purging a release;
I think A is correct
its D for sure
hamartia is fatal flaw....
>.< im getting mixed signals lol
D is a sudden reversal of fortune and circumstance
D, pick D :)
Well, firstly can anyone here tell we what exactly it means by the downfall of a tragic protagonist? How can a protagonist be tragic? (: And alright I will but I am still gonna do the research so I know why I picked it ^^
just bad question for mathematicians :)
when the girls lover gets mowed over by a fleet of space pirate aliens; its tragic lol
the protagonist is the hero. A tragic hero is one that is being punished incorrectly.
romeo and juliet are tragic protags...right?
Yes key work ITS, i was confused because the sentences structure sounds like the protagonist him/herself was tragic.... so its not saying that? (:
hero is a dated term; its the one you feel the most emotion towards, like the most, are moved by
it was the audience lol
Ahh kay, now I am starting to understand why D would be the answer then.. ^^ Thanks for helping even thought its not math (:
