if f(x)=7x+11 and g(x) = x^2-5x-3 write an equation for the case when the outputs of g is 6

OpenStudy (anonymous):

let g(x) = 6, so 6 = x^2-5x-3, then solve the equation. It doesn't appear that f(x) effects anything unless they say something like let f(g(x)) = 6.You may have to use the quadratic formula, or not, but that's how you go about it.
