how much does a 5 beach balls cost. A beach ball is 1.89

OpenStudy (anonymous):

this is too easy ikr

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So one beach ball costs 1.89 Two beach balls costs 1.89 + 1.89 which also equals 1.89*2 right?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you have too add the sum of 5 not 2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yeah I'm trying to explain how to approach this problem. If two beach balls costs 1.89*2 and three beach balls costs 1.89*3 then five beach balls costs 1.89*5 right?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no i mean the total sum to gether

OpenStudy (anonymous):

1.89*5 = 1.89+1.89+1.89+1.89+1.89 So by multiplying by 5 you are taking the total sum of the cost of 5 beach balls

thx
