What is the area between the curve

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i'm typing up the info...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

between the curve: g(x) = 3x^{2} and the x-axis from x = -2 to x = 0

OpenStudy (anonymous):

integrate g(x) from -2 to 0 you get 8

OpenStudy (anonymous):

When you integrate: you get x^3 + 2x

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so plugging in (-2) you get: {0 - [-2^3 + 2(-2)]}

OpenStudy (anonymous):

which equals 0 + 12 = 12

OpenStudy (anonymous):

or maybe it's -12

OpenStudy (anonymous):

sorry i thought it gx = 3x^2

Oh no worries! I appreciate the help! Thanks!
