Matthew has enough money to buy 45 toy cars, if the cars are 10 cents less Matthew could buy 5 more cars. How much money does Matthew have to spend on toy cars?

OpenStudy (freddy):

So you have 45 cars and if you save $0.10 per care you can buy 5 more. So how much do we save? 45 * $0.10 = $4.50 5 cars / $4.50 = $1.11 per toy car 45 x $1.11 = $49.95
