hey its a log and i can't explain it

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

log x^(1/3) = [ log x ] ^ ( 1/2)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

1/3 log x = ( log x ) ^1/2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

square both sides

OpenStudy (anonymous):

1/9 (log x )^2 = log x

OpenStudy (anonymous):

1/9 (log x)^2 - log x = 0

OpenStudy (anonymous):

log x ( 1/9 log x - 1 ) = 0

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so i factored there. log x = 0 or 1/9 log x - 1 = 0. so x = 1 or log x = 9, so x = 1 or x = 10^9, assuming log is base 10

thanks
