To determine the coordinates for a vector, if the tail is not at the origin you ________ the x and y coordinates of the head and tail.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

add, subtract, multiply, divide or switch?

OpenStudy (dumbcow):

if the tail is not at origin then it is like the vector was translated x units left/right and y units up/down, when we translate a graph we add to x,y coordinates. Here we want to reverse the effect of that translation, whats the reverse operation of addition? did that make any sense?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes. We subtract! Right?

OpenStudy (dumbcow):

yep
