OpenStudy (carlsmith):

There's always IDLE, it's not a bad tool to start out with.

Some of the instructions on the problem sets are old and the links don't work anymore. I stuck with version 2.x instead of 3.x to be more in sync with the class. The following is what I used to get through the class: python 2.7.1 from http://python.org/download/ or specifically Python 2.7.1 Windows Installer http://python.org/ftp/python/2.7.1/python-2.7.1.msi For problem sets 10 and higher: wxPython from http://www.wxpython.org/download.php or specifically wxPython2.8-win32-unicode-py27 http://downloads.sourceforge.net/wxpython/wxPython2.8-win32-unicode-2.8.12.0-py27.exe numpy for python 2.7 http://sourceforge.net/projects/numpy/files/NumPy/1.5.1/numpy-1.5.1-win32-superpack-python2.7.exe matplotlib for python 2.7 http://sourceforge.net/projects/matplotlib/files/matplotlib/matplotlib-1.0.1/matplotlib-1.0.1.win32-py2.7.exe
