Find the standard form of the equation of the circle with the given characteristics. Center at origin; radius: 7√2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay...its x^2 +y^2=98

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thanks..how did u find the radius?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

hmm..do u know the general form of a circle?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i meant how did you find r^2?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

u had given the radius there as 7 sqrt(2)..just take a square of it & you'll get 98 :) did u understand now?) :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

diameter | 14 sqrt(2)~~19.799 area | 98 pi~~307.876 perimeter | 14 sqrt(2) pi~~62.2004

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok i get it now

OpenStudy (anonymous):

good :)
