The weight of 1000 identical samples of a substance is 0.01 pound. What is the weight of 10,000 samples? ok i had this... 1000x/ 1000 = 10/1000 x= 0.01 and it said it was wrong.

I think it's .1. I cross multiplied [Click to preview math format] 1000 over .01 = 10,000 over x. multiply .01 times 10,000 =100. Then 1000 times the x= 1000x. Then divide the 100 by the 1000x and you get .1

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no it said that was incorrect.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

not .01....just .1
