matlab is a comercial software which you have to pay for. This means that asking for a link to download it for free is like asking where people leave expensive bikes so you can steal them....

Try IPython, it has a bunch of features you might find up your street and it's open source so you can just get it from their site.

Try Numpy+Scipy, or Octave(an opensource alternative which has almost identical syntax to Matlab)
