Hi All, I am so in need of help. I would love to know how to program but I was given an assignment as an introduction to programming. I have to develop a tutoring sessions program using Netbeans; creating a GUI that displays jTextfield, jTextbox, jTextArea, functionality buttons for enter, run report, and quit. I can produce the design for my GUI all day but where or how do I generate the code....SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME...

I don't think the assignment you got is an introduction to programming. The fact you are confused how to "generate" the code shows you aren't really experienced in this area of programming. I think it would be more helpful to you if you would have found a different tutorial, that starts from the beginning and when you get to OOP programming you can try this one.

amiskoh's right, that does seem pretty complex for an introduction to programming.

what course at you taking again and what college

Its a sub course in an Quanitative analysis course that I am taking. I completely dont understand why they threw this in. I am getting my BA IN Human Resource Management at Western Govenors University online. Here are some links to what I was given.

If you want to do scripting as a secondary skill, you'd not normally look at stuff like this ~ at least I'd assume. There's a ton of really good software available for data juggling, Netbeans might fall into that category at a push, I've not used it, but the problem seems way of base. I can't really help you with either way, but best of luck with it anyway :)

Thanks...is there anyone who can help me? #so complicated...to me anyway lol
